Coach Benon Brewer

Coach Brewer started swimming for his summer team in 7th grade. After summer league, he joined Peters Township Swim Club and swam for Peters Township High School all four years. As a junior, he qualified for W.P.I.A.L. championships in every stroke except backstroke. By senior year, he qualified in all of them, earning a place on an All American 200 freestyle relay team.

After graduating from PTHS in 2017, he attended St. Vincent College, swimming all four years for the Bearcats. He qualified for the President's Athletic Conference (PAC) championships all four years, and served as team captain his junior and senior years. Coach Brewer's best collegiate event was the 1,650 yard freestyle.

When he's not coaching the Big Macs, Coach Brewer is usually on deck as the Lead Age Group 1 and 2 Coach for Pittsburgh Elite Aquatics (PEAQ.) Off the deck, he teaches 5th grade ELA at Canon Mac's Cecil Intermediate School.
